My front door is not one of those doors that displays wreaths. However, I wanted to bring spring on! I hoped that by putting up a spring wreath the season of spring would over power the season of winter. However, It took me by surprise to find how wreaths can be pricey. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money for something that was going to be outside of my home with little protection from not so nice mother nature.
I quickly decided to put this wreath idea on the back burner. Until, I stopped into my neighborhood Dollar Tree Store to purchase items. It was then that I became emboldened. The Dollar Tree had all the items I needed to create a low cost wreath.
As soon as I woke up to the idea of creating my own spring wreath I placed the items I would need into my cart. This was a crazy idea, I don’t have a crafty bone in my body. But I just wanted to give it the Dollar Tree try. With items of choice in my wagon I set out to be creative…Ha!
At the Dollar Tree I purchased – 8 clip flowers (magic word clip), bell sun charm, natural raffia (bought this just because I liked the colors), and a wreath frame. I started home and prepared to conquer wreath making.
As I began creating the wreath I lost faith in me. 🙁 This was never going to work!
I had no idea what I was doing! But I forged ahead!
And then it happened!
Spring wreath completed!
It was necessary for me to show it off and took a picture to send to my daughter. Her reaction? I had to create a spring wreath for her… 🙂
I did it!
Cost – less than $19 for two wreaths. Wow! Hello Spring!
