Whenever I am invited to a Bridal Shower and they ask for a recipe – this is one I love  to share!!  Once you try it,  I know it will become one of your favorites.  You can use any canned fruit and nuts you like – this cake is so much fun to make  (and eat) with kids too!  Enjoy.

Dump Cake

•1 (20 oz) can crushed pineapple with juice, undrained
•2 cans Whole Cranberry Sauce
•1 pkg  any flavor Cake Mix
•1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
•1/2 cup (1 stick) butter

1.Preheat oven to 350ºF. Spray grease a 13×9-inch pan.
2.Dump pineapple with juice into pan. Spread evenly. Dollop whole cranberries over pineapple evenly. Sprinkle cake mix evenly over cranberry. Sprinkle pecans over cake mix. Dot with butter.
3.Bake 50 minutes or until top is lightly browned. Serve warm or at room temperature plain or with ice cream.

I make this quite often. You can use any flavor of canned pie filling along with the pineapple. I usually use the golden butter cake mix. My favorite is blackberry pie filling, but I love cranberries too, so I am going to try this version very soon. Thanks for the recipe.
