Advantage of time

Everyday when I leave work I take a short cut to get to the main road…today that short cut was cut short…no pun intended…here is what happened. I drove out of the parking garage and made my usual turn into the municipal parking field. As I turned in another car was exiting…this is not the first time I have encountered a car exiting, however, this was the first time I was challenged.
The driver of the car exiting refused to let me pass, she blocked me and motioned that I need to go around the other way. She became the municipal police, and I became the villain…of course, I instinctively became defiant and motioned that she should move around not me…oh boy, what a mistake that was…she shook her head and did not move…I shook my head and did not move…engines where turned off…the stand off began…as the minutes passed on I realized what the heck am I doing…I have to get home, I have no time for this…so I started the car and as I drove away I honked and gave her a not so nice finger…she won…so she thought…I realized that I had a home to rush to…she acted like she could stay there all day…thus the advantage of time…which she had.

Winter Hand Treat

I work with alot of paper….invoices, notes, letterhead and enveoples. So my poor hands are so dry. Love working in a heated space….but what it does to my skin!..So when I get home I like to mix equal parts of olive oil and salt with my fingers in a small bowl…..and scrub it all over my hands and arms and elbows….scrubbing away the dry skin…..then rinsing under the faucet with warm water. What a relief….feeling so silky and smooth….just brings a smile to my face. If there is any left over (not usually…i get carried away) I cover with wrap for another time. Do you have any remedies for winter dryness?

Family

Hello world!

Let us introduce ourselves, as you may have a couple of questions regarding ‘groovinmoms.com’…Liz and I started this web site to give ‘Baby Boomers’ , like ourselves, a host of interesting choices…yes, we are grandmothers!! However, this certainly does not mean we wear shabby shawls, and sit in rocking chairs and rock…Oh, yes we do rock, we rock on music …we both have two grandchildren…after doing the whole mommy shtick, we are now doing the grand mom gig…and if we may say ” nothing like being a grandma”…so we invite you to join us in our adventure of knowing that age is relative, and who really cares…we only have one life to live and our journey is to make this life a groovin one….”To age is a privilege. Do not regret getting older.  It is a privilege denied to many”     In Feb 2013 Liz was blessed with another grandchild. Love, Liz and Merci
