As you know, a few weeks ago we went to the Propel Media Event. The great thing is we were introduced to geomate.jr – an outdoor GPS-based treasure hunt. Hidden all over the US (and the world) are geocaches – containers of various sizes with a log book and trinkets stashed inside!!! The objective of geocaching is to find the hidden geocaches, sign the log book, trade tinkets, and then find another one!
The geocaches can be as small as a thumbnail or as large as a bucket. They can even be disguised as a log, a rock, or even some other common object like a faucet. They are typically a Tupperware container or metal box.
Geocaches can be hidden almost anywhere – under benches, attached to street signs, inside logs, behind bushes, or hanging from trees. But they are never buried.
If you take something, from the geocaches, you should leave something of equal or greater value .
Geocaches can be found in urban areas, in city parks, rural country sides, or in the wilderness.
This is a perfect activity for familes to enjoy together and to get kids off of the couch and reconnected with the outdoors!!!!

Geomate.jr is affordable – easy to use – a complete work-out-0f-the-box solution. Get Out There!
