Happy Trails To You

My husband and I own a trailer, or RV, as we like to call it.  The trailer sits in a park located in  Ellenville, New York.

We bought this trailer to spend time away from city life.  Without traffic it would take us 2 hours of driving to get there.  We both loved being up  in the mountains.  My son and his wife also loved being in the mountains and we all enjoyed the quiet and camping out with all the amenities of home.

A bathroom, a bed, TV with cable and a kitchen.  A little home away from home.

Sophie and Chirstian loved to pretend that they have a little tree cave, that they get to sit in.  Sophie really enjoyed it the most Christian just went along and looked amazed that he was in the middle of all these trees. The pool.  The pool had a resort feel to it.  You would not even think that you were only 2 hours away from NY.  Their father kept watchful eye on both of them as the kids splashed and splashed.

Christian in his little plastic boat.  Toot, toot, Christian.Sleeping all four of us was not an easy thing.  My son and my daughter-in-law would take the pull out couch, and Sophie would sleep on an air mattress.  Christian slept in his little play pen.  All of this did not leave much room to walk around.  But we managed real fine.

But like all good things they come to an end.  This will be the last summer of our family camping.  We now have to say goodbye to Ellenville and our RV.  But this does not mean we don’t get to spend time in the summer with grandkids.  It will just be spent in a different place and different surroundings.

This is just one chapter in a book closing.  I cannot wait for the new one to begin.
