Happiness Is A Saturday At The Diner With Our Grandkids

The plan was to meet at IHOP on Hempstead Turnpike.  I got there first and found out that is was closed for renovation.  So when Merci got to the parking lot, she told me let’s go to the Lantern Diner. Follow me. That’s called Plan B. 🙂

We got a table for 6  sat down  and ordered. Sophie got Silver Pancakes and Natalie got French Toast. The boys Christian and Liam went for the Mac ‘N Cheese.  Merci and I split a BLT on toasted bagel, pickles and coleslaw. Milk, apple juice and coffee were the choice of beverages.

What you don’t see is the spit ball shooting going on. There was no stopping them. Naturally Sophie and Natalie discovered the bubble gum stuck under the table – gross (what they said).

The girls had to make a trip to the ladies room to wash off all the syrup from their hands.  That’s when I saw how cute their shoes were!!

The girls then entertained us with a little Miss Mary Mack

Can you believe this cookie came with the kids lunch meal. Christian was nice enough to share it with all of us.

Then they hit the bubble gum machine on the way out. Gum and  Peanut Butter Cups, always room for chocolate? Next time, we go back to IHOP and check out the new place!
