My mom turned 85 years young this year and with the bad weather we have had we decided to stay home and celebrate. My sister Marianne and my niece Sandra came to mark the occasion.
My daughter Vera and her husband Bill along with my three grandchildren also came to enjoy the day. My mom was very happy.
We decided on Greek food and this is the place for the best Greek food outside of Greece. The kids went for souvlaki and my mom got the octopus, my sister picked the salmon and I got a Greek salad with grilled calamari.
Delish!! But as everyone knows the best part of a birthday celebration is the cake. The kids helped my mom blow out the candles.
We had a wonderful day, visiting, talking, playing games and the boys found time to watch their favorite SpongeBob show.
I’ve decided to stop counting candles and try to remember to count all my blessings. Happy Birthday, Mom!
