My grandson graduated from Pre-K this Thursday. It was a joyous event yet also very sad. How did we get here so quickly? Where did the 5 years of Christian’s life go? He now will be a kindergartener.
I was the first to arrive to this gala affair. I looked over at the empty seats and thought that the seats look tiny and lonely but I knew the seats will soon light up with faces and smiles of the pre-k class..
Then they marched out and the seats became alive holding up 5 year olds so they can celebrate their first and not to be the last graduation ceremony.
When their teacher gave a speech she started to cry, which made me cry. See I understood her sadness cause when she says goodbye it really means goodbye.
How blessed Christian is that he has both his grandmothers to be at his first graduation.
