Woke up to a rainy Friday morning and was on the fence about going into the city for for Entenmanns National Donut Day with The Salvation Army event in Union Square. After a few cups of coffee, I jumped into the shower got ready and hopped on the train. So glad I did.
The Salvation Army started National Donut Day in 1938. I had a wonderful time having coffee and donuts, meeting friends and just enjoying the fun of the day. For sure, National Donut Day is one of my favorite days of the year! Enternmanns collected $35,000 for The Salvation Army, how groovy is that!!! Next year will be the 100 year that The Salvation Army started serving donuts. You can hear about National Donut Day history and see Entenmanns presenting that groovy check. See you all next year!!
