As a teacher, Mark Bonner knows the majority of parents are having anxiety over their children’s return to school. They’ve been off for a long time, homeschooling has been a challenge and the structure of the school day has likely been forgotten. As COVID-19 has left many parents with anxiety over their children’s return to school, Bonner wants to prove that education is fun, and play is a vital component.
In his new picture book, ‘My Teachers Are Animals’ reminds young readers that their school days are fun, playful and something to look forward to. Especially at Darwin Woods School – where all of the teachers are animals! It takes a big heart and lots of energy to change little minds.
