Blake Hudson is a Justice Department attorney who occupies one of the most coveted positions in Washington D.D.  But after a series of attacks on American soil, and a bad court ruling that could debilitate the government's ability to protect the nation, Hudson is assigned new responsibilities in the Main Justice Building...BUT THERE"S A SECRET ON THE EIGHT FLOOR...
A small, clandestine group meets on this dimly lit, concealed level unknown to most Justice Department employees.  Led by an introverted CIA analyst, Hudson finds himself inserted into a group of superstar intelligence and military operatives whose ostensible mission - Operations Scavenger Hunt - is to fight terror with the freedom to bypass bureaucratic hurdles.  Hudson becomes skeptical of the operations as members begin to break laws until, with no forewarning or explanation, the group disbands and he finds himself the scapegoat.  
Transformed from hunter to hunted, Hudson tries to piece the puzzle together as those associated with the disbanded operations begin suffering suffering strange deaths.  Not knowing whom to trust or where to turn, Hudson searches for answers...fighting to stay alive. 

About The Author: Chad Boudreaux served as Deputy Chief of Staff for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, where he advised Secretary Michael Chertoff on almost all significant matters facing the newly established Department. Before working for Homeland Security, Boudreaux served in several hight-ranking position at the U.S. Justice Department , where he was hired the night before the September 11, 2001 attacked. During his time at the Justice Department, Boudreaux focused most of his time on matters relating to terrorism and homeland security. Boudreaux graduated from Baylor University in 1995 and from the University of Memphis School of Law in 1998, where he was Managing Editor of the Law review.
