My daughter sent me a text letting me know that Liam would be marching in the town Memorial Day Parade Band. Liam plays a horn and I was so excited to see him. Memorial Day is about tradition, honoring and remembering the people who died while serving. Something about a parade and a marching band fills my heart and usually (yes I did) cry.
Memorial Day is also the first day to kick off the summer season and most of us do it with a BBQ with family and friends. Hot dogs, burgers, corn on the cob and something sweet to end it off, keeping it real and simple.
Grateful to be together on this wonderful day. My mom was very happy to watch the parade and hear Liam play with his classmates. And she was happy to spend the day with her favorite people.
