Groovin' Eats, recipe

2 Easy Meals In 1 Stuffed Peppers & Pasta with Meat Sauce

1 Tbsp. olive oil
1/2 cup chopped onions
4 peppers cut in half
1 lb. lean ground beef or turkey
8 – 16  slices cheese
1 16oz can tomato sauce and 1 can full water or wine (or half water and half wine) less if you like a thick sauce
salt / pepper to taste
Heat olive oil over medium heat  in a large frying pan add salt and saute onions until soft. Add ground beef or turkey and cook stirring for 5 minutes.  Salt/pepper to taste. Add tomato sauce and water and stir gently to blend. Salt/pepper to taste. Bring to a simmer and let cook covered 15 minutes.  Meanwhile cut and clean the peppers and place on cookie sheet covered with parchment paper, layer peppers with your favorite cheese. Fill peppers with meat sauce and bake in a preheated 400 oven for 45 – 50  minutes. (time may vary according to your oven)  I also baked some taters because I like them but you can make what ever side you like. I served with a salad.
This recipe makes a lot of sauce and so next day I made some pasta and mixed in the left over sauce for a new meal. If you feel like you need more sauce – reserve 1/2 cup pasta water and add to sauce.

Did You Know, Time of the Season, Travel

Let’s Fly SWISS #Economy #FlySwiss #ILoveSwiss

I love to travel.  However, traveling long  distances would always make my stomach churn.  I mean who likes sitting down in a airplane seat for hours and hours.  Not me!

Every airline promises that comfortable seat with claims of making your long flying time comfortable, but I have found this promise not to be so.  Until, Swiss Airlines!

SWISS My first air time meet with Swiss was this July when I flew Swiss from Israel to the U.S.  A flight that was very long, long, long – so long I thought I’d never get home.  But Swiss Airlines helped make the trip feel less lengthy and less long and annoying.  They offered a wide range of movies (140 films), TV programs, and games that helped me forget the flying time.  Their attendants would graciously walked the aisle offering water to the passengers, helping assure that dehydration doesn’t happen while you are in the air.

Meals on a plane always come in some type of box, and can taste just like the container the food comes in.  Not on Swiss Air!  Swiss offers two hot meals.   The meal tasted like it was made fresh, just for you. Towards the final hours of the flight the attendants come around offering a snack.  The snack was a cup of chocolate ice cream, and a Real Italian Cuisine Hand Held Pizza.  YUMMY!  That ice cream was so refreshing to have after hours sitting in one position.   The Panzerotto I took home.

Let’s talk about their plane seats.  I am 5 feet tall, and still find airplane seats to small.  Not on Swiss!  Even with the person’s seat at recline I still had room to stretch my legs.  Swiss Air didn’t make my travel back home from Israel any shorter, but, they did make the travel most comfortable.

Swiss where have you been all my short  travel life?

I’ll be flying back to Europe, maybe, in 2020.  I will be flying with Swiss Air.  Oh, least I forget, prior reaching the destination (JFK) attendants came and offered “Thank You for flying Swiss” chocolates.

If your thinking of flying any time soon check out Swiss Airlines, it will be  a treat
