They laugh at her one small wing and say mean things about her fiery-red hair, her glasses and her freckles. Through her kindness, Marky teaches her friends about self-love, confidence, acceptance, positivity and compassion. She reminds them they are magnificent. A Very Asian Guide to Korean Food by Michelle Li

Michelle Li, award-winning, veteran journalist, co-founded the  Very Asian Foundation after receiving a monetary donation from The Ellen Show for her response. Since then she is focused on shining a light on Asian experiences through advocacy and celebration.

The movement has now inspired her to write her first Korean Food Children’s book, A Very Asian Guide to Korean Food by Michelle Li. This illustrated picture book introduces young readers to classic and modern Korean dishes and provides fun facts about the foods and culture of Korea.

STRANGER SINGS! THE PARODY MUSICAL …Nov. & Dec. performance schedule announced

We celebrated ‘Stranger Things Day’ at Stranger Sings! The Parody Musical on November 6, the day that the character Will Byers first went missing in the show’s first season. You are  invited to join them at   Playhouse 46 at St. Luke’s (308 W. 46th Street) as they bring Will’s disappearance to hilariously-twisted musical life on stage.

 Stranger SIngs! features Jamir Blair as Lucas, Jeremiah Garcia as Dustin, Caroline Huerta as Joyce/Will, Jeffrey Laughrun as Mike, Garrett Poladian as Steve/Jonathan, Harley Seger as Eleven / Nancy, SLee as Barb, Shawn W. Smith as Hopper, and swings Jean Christian Barry, Dashiell Gregory and Hannah Clarke Levine.
