Family Vacation in Malta

I finally got back to Malta to visit my family and friends. It had been 14 years since the last time I was there celebrating my then 50th birthday. Time sure does fly. My mom has two sisters living in Malta, my Auntie Carmen and Auntie Madeleine. What made this vacation so special is my daughter Vera and her family with my niece Sandra came along.

Here is my Aunt Carmen with my two cousins Johnny and Twanny (Anthony) with their wives and cousin Giovanni next to Sandra. His brother was working and we never got to see him. Another very good reason to get back soon 🙂

Here we are with my cousin Johnny and his family. His lovely wife Anna, their three children Janice and her husband Duncan and their daughter and son. Chris with his beautiful girlfriend Naomi. Kyle with his warm good natured friend Aleandro who both of them kept the  children entertained and happy.

Our cousins Jessica and Joanne with her adorable boyfriend Damian. The kids were so happy to meet their cousins and they played games and played with the family dog Queenie. My mom was so happy to see all the photos of her sisters and their family. I am hoping that she will come along next trip because they really want to see her again.

I thank God for my family and am happy for the time I got to spend with them. Tomorrow is not promised and today is so short.

My girlfriend Sarah, that’s Sarah with an H, and her boyfriend Bill drove all the way from Florida to celebrate this joyous event.31rPO17pC+L._SY195_CR0,0,316,195_Sarah and Bill meet up with my husband and I in the early afternoon just so we could catch up since we hadn’t seen each other in quite some time.

At the cocktail hour with the mother of the groom, Joanne.  I just loved her dress.  I never saw her look more radiant than that evening.

Here we are… Sarah, Joanne, and myself “Partners in Crime”.

The three of us have known each other for more than 40 years.  We met while  working for Galbeath-Ruffin, in the Mobil building , located on East 42nd street, between 2nd and 3rd avenue, in New York City.

As soon as we met the three of us became attached to each other as if we knew that we would be friends forever.  We were in our early twenties when we met and now we are in our early sixties.   We are friends who stayed together through the rough roller coaster ride of life, and no matter how rough the ride was we managed to come off laughing and loving each other stronger.
