I recently bought a Living Social voucher, no, it was a Groupon voucher, I don’t know I keep buying these vouchers from all of these places now.  Just cannot help it really good deals.  Anyway, bought a voucher to go bowling.  It was a good deal.  For 26 dollars I got 2 hours of bowling, pizza, a pitcher of beer or soda, and bowling shoes, for 6 people.

Good deal, Yes?

When I purchased this voucher, my intention was to go bowling with my son, daughter-in-law, daughter, her boyfriend, my husband, and of course myself.  I had envisioned this wonderful family time we would all share.

Well, my dreams of family time turned sour really quick.  See my son, and my daughter’s boyfriend, gladly told me without hesitation they hate bowling.    In the end they all did not want to go, so much for BOWLING!

I just love my kids.

Now I would not let this voucher go to waste.  I got my husband and my grand kids to go bowling.   I could not believe  my husband did not give me a problem. Just could not believe it.  So off we went bowling at the Massapequa Bowling Alley.

The first thing the kids wanted to play with was the score  board.  I could not believe they are all computerized.  Yes, it has been a long time since I went bowling.  The kids thought they were playing video games.

Here’s my husband trying to teach Sophie how to bowl.  Sophie could not even lift the bowling ball..  Hey, those balls are really heavy.         When Sophie finally got the ball to roll it did take some time, it rolled, rolled, rolled, and took for ever to land in the gutter, were it continued to roll. .

Now it was Christian’s turn.  Now I thought Sophie’s ball was a slow roller.  

Christian did get mad at me.  See I tried to help him get the ball rolling and no matter how much I tried not to let him see me do it, he would always catch me.  Boy, can the little guy give dirty looks.

They both enjoyed eating the pizza, and drinking the soda.  Actually , we bought the kids the pitcher of soda, see we got the pitcher of beer.

One problem I did have was keeping them safe from the returning bowling  balls…they just had to greet the bowl every time it rolled on in.  I also had to break up the fighting, see they both wanted the same ball and Christian, being under 3, could not understand why it was not always his turn to bowl.  Oy vey!!

After the first game, Christian just decided he did not want any part of bowling anymore.  Does he not look like he is just relaxing and letting us finish the game.  NOT!  Right after this picture was taken he began his ascent into, you cannot stop me from running around the bowling alley mode.  Now my husband started complaining.  Not that he was running around, but that I laugh whenever Christian does something bad.  I cannot help it.  I know this is not good but he is just sooo cute and only 2 1/2 years old.

All in all the grand children did enjoy the game, and I enjoyed the whole bowling experience with them.  As for my husband, let’s just say he went without a complaint and left with a pocket full of them.. .:)
