Steak and Cheese…

After 4 days of being in the dark…my body is craving something that I would not normally eat…unless I was in Philadelphia…so now that I have light, gas, and heat, but most important a running refrigerator…I know what I can do with my  almost defrosted steaks…

Philly cheesesteak please…..

Philly Cheesesteak Recipe – Makes 1 Philly Cheesesteak

1/4 pound very thinly sliced steak

1/4 cup onion, sliced or chopped

Cheez Whiz processed cheese spread

Italian style roll

Saute the onions in a small amount of oil in a heavy skillet. Add the sliced steak when the onions are almost done. Cook the steak for about 5 minutes, or til it is how you like it.

Follow the instructions on the Cheez Whiz jar to heat it.

Put the sauteed onions and sliced steak on the roll. Drizzle with heated Cheez Whiz on top.

Oh, so good, my mouth waters already…sorry all you health nuts….but life is tooooooooo short….

How To Measure A Bra Size

How To Measure for a Perfect Fitting Bra

While braless or wearing a non-padded bra, measure around the bottom of the band, directly under your bust. The measuring tape should be level and very snug. Round to the nearest whole number. If the number is even, add four inches. If it’s odd, add five. Your band size is the sum of this calculation. (So if you measured 32 inches, your band size is 36. If you measured 33 inches, your band size is 38.)

Wrap the measuring tape somewhat loosely around the fullest part of your chest (at nipple level). Round to the nearest whole number.

Subtract your band size from your bust measurement and refer to chart. Example: 37 inches (bust) – 34 inches (band) = 3 inches.    That’s a 34C.

Lentil Soup…Warm and Good

Love a good soup…and let me say that this Lentil soup is really…GOOD!

There is nothing like a nice bowl of hot soup…but I tell you lentil soup is the top of my soup list.

Really, it is.

I had never made lentil soup.  It was my daughter-in-law who introduce me to lentils.

What’s in it?  Well, lentils of course along with onions, carrots, celery and hot dogs…yes, hot dogs…I can tell you my grand kids love this soup, and the main reason is due to the hot dogs.

Spoon it in a bowl and sprinkle with cheese and enjoy.  I bet you will get up and have a second bowl…I always do…

Recipe for Lentil Soup

Fill  a soup pot 3/4 up with water( I use a large pot) Then add to pot the following:

1/2 bag lentils

3-4 stalk celery (chopped)

3-4 carrots (chopped)

Large onion (chopped)

8 hot dogs (or cocktail franks), slice the dogs into small round pieces.

Bring all of the above to a boil for 15 minutes

Then add 1/2 can crushed tomatoes,

1 1/2 tspn dried basil

salt and pepper to taste.

cook all together for 50 minutes.

ENJOY!
