Senator Charles Schumer and Representative Jerrold Nadler of New York have asked the Federal Trade Commissioner to investigate the National Collector’s Mint and its tenth-anniversary coins honoring 9/11. Successfully sued for fraud by New York State over a similar coin, the outfit is charging $29,95 “for a trinket whose true value has been estimated as low as 2 cents and as high as 60 cent”, according to a New York Daily News editorial. Enough!
