Trying On The New Color of Health

I’ve  decided to eat healthier – simply, I’ve made a promise to myself to add more color to my meals.  My sister Marianne. is a Registered Nutritianist and she told me, we need to add lots of color on our plate at every meal – to think vitamins, minerals, fiber and antioxidants for energy and good health. Eating this way may help reduce the risk of disease and cancer and lessen the aging effect.  Starting from the inside out – Great advice!

Blue/Purple: blackberries, blueberries, grapes, eggplant, raisins, potatoes,Brown: dark chocolate  Red:tomato, watermelon, radish, cherries, strawberries –Green: pears, peas, peppers, broccoli, lettuce, cabbage, apple  Orange: carrots, apricots, oranges, sweet potatoes, squash White: cauliflower, garlic, onions, potatoes  Yellow: grapes, lemons, corn, banana

So, let your color nutrient imagination go wild and go for it! – Add something really good for you  to all your salads, soups, cereals, drinks and desserts.
Prepare a great meal or just have a snack…..keep thinking color.

Researchers found that women who routinely eat nutritious foods slash their risk of dying from the usual culprits, including heart disease and cancer.
