Citifield

Saturday I went to see a Mets-Philly game at Citifield with Veronica.  We took the 7 train to Mets Willets Point and we followed the crowd.  I have to tell you the new ball park is really beautiful and so people friendly…..a large welcoming promenade …..picnic tables and free standing lounge tables.  Did I mention the food……that was the hard part….what to eat?  We ended up at the Shake Shack for a burger and fries ….yes there was a line, but it moved very fast and it was delicious.

The game started slow, 0-0 for the first 6 innings, then it went really fast and the Mets won 2-1.  Wow!!!  What a great afternoon.

During the game, Dakota Meyer, the first living Marine to receive the Medal Of Honor since 1973, was honored for his bravery.  The Mets are part of the Welcome Back Veterans Program. He received a well deserved standing ovation.  I am very proud I was at that game..

If you haven’t gone to the new Citifield Stadium yet – make plans to get there.  You and your family will love it.
