I look forward to Halloween more so now then when my kids were little. When Sophie was born Halloween had a different meaning for me. Yes, I took my kids trick or treating, but as a young mother I never appreciated the whole idea. Now with the wisdom that comes with age, I see Halloween in a different light.
I loved going door to door and watching Sophie get her treats and smile with excitement. This year we had an added treat with the presence of Christian, his first real trick or treat adventure. It was amazing how quickly he caught on to what he was getting and where he had to put the candy he got. Even at 16 months they know that this is truly a treat.

Watch out Batman and Pippi Long Stocking, Michael Meyers is right behind you! RUN!

Oh, I forgot that they are use to seeing Michael in front of their yard. See their daddy loves to watch the movie ” Halloween” I remember when I first saw Halloween it scared me for days…I would wake up and imagine Michael peeking around the bedroom door…

Batman is off to save the day I think he could care less that Robin is missing.

Sophie you look good in red hair…well the freckles do have to go.

This car seat is not the bat mobile, but is sure is the only way to get around.
After trick or treating we always go out and have dinner. This is something we never did with our kids, I always went home to cook dinner.
This Halloween we had a special treat, the other Grandma came with us…How wonderful that Sophie and Christian have two Grandma’s to share their precious moments.
Damian, my son, always makes sure he shares in this special day and of course Grandpa who joined us after his long day at work. I can assure you that he makes a special exception to be apart of this…he really loves going home to the couch…
Holding Batman down was not easy.
Our Halloween was coming to an end. But if Christian is anything like his father…his adventure as Batman has only just begun.
