When our kids were little, Liz and I would take them every Christmas to see Santa, not just any mall Santa, but the 34th Street Macy’s Santa.
It was so much fun, we all enjoyed our outing to Santa Land, we loved it.
Then one day they grew up, and a date to go to see Santa was no more.
It was sad when they said goodbye to their childhood.
So as soon as I became a grandparent, January 3rd, 2007, I knew that my December outing to Macy’s on 34th Street would begin again.
So now I have pictures of Santa and Sophie displayed every year at Christmas time, and last year we were blessed with Christian, and he too became apart of our Christmas tradition, going to see Santa in Santa Land.

The visit to Santa begins with a train ride on the LIRR, which conviently stops at Penn Station, 34th Street.
.
As we stroll down the path to Santa, we see a tree that talks. I thought that talking trees were only in the Wizard of Oz…I do hope we did not take a wrong turn.
Oh, let’s ask the elf. See in Santa Land the elves keep us on track so that we don’t take a wrong turn…I guess they are Santa’s GPS.
Christian’s visit with Santa did not go as planned…but then Santa was real cool about it.
