September through early October is the time to go apple picking.
Every year I have had the pleasure to go apple picking with my darling grand children, this year was not any different, we’ll slightly different, see my husband and son stayed home…
So in place of my husband and son my sister and my mom joined us. Hail, hail the gangs all here…
Christian loved the idea of placing an apple on top of his head…not necessarily in his mouth…does anyone have a bow and arrow?
Not sure what Christian is doing here but I think he was playing scarecrow.
Thank goodness my sister came. See she is taller than me and she easily got the kids up high enough to pick them apples.
Getting your teeth into the apple was not easy for Sophie. See she has two front teeth that are very loose. I know what song we will be singing this Christmas.
Hopping on the back of this trailer was not easy. ..but we did manage…it was fun almost like a hay ride, without the hay…
See we hopped on, literally, we hopped on…
This was the first time my mother ever went apple picking…I think it will not be her last time. Great Grandma had a blast picking and eating apples…I think she ate more than she picked.
There is still time to go apple picking…head on out to the orchards and pick your very own apples…something about those hand picked apples…they have the sweetest taste…Give me a hand picked apple any day.
PS. My daughter-in-law said she will be baking a nice apple pie…I am still waiting for my piece….
