I do hope you all had a wonderful Mother’s Day, as we did.
Actually, Mother’s day is a working day for me. When most of the mother’s I know are going out to dinner, I am making dinner. I have no problem with this. I do it to honor my mother.
Meet my mom (she is the one holding the plate) and her very close friend, Tessie. Tessie is Liz’s mom. Both our moms came together to the good old U S A,which was then more commonly called, ‘ AMERICA’. They made the long and lonely journey across the ocean blue to make a new life for their family. Carrying with them two tiny babies, Liz and me, or is it I. 🙂
Now, here you see my daughter, the the dark stripped shirt, and daughter -in-law, in the red stripped shirt, (they claim that they did not plan to wear the strip shirts together. A coincidence?) and my niece, Dana. My niece just recently became a first time mother, so she got to celebrate Mother’s Day in a new mother way.
Here is our little new addition. Baby, Emma! Only 2 weeks old and giving her mom a run for her motherhood. No, my daughter does not have children, my son does, but I do pray that one day we will be blessed with another little person in our family. Did you read this ERICA!
My first grand daughter just had to help feed baby, Emma.
Sophie will now have to share the spot light with Emma.
Mother’s Day always begins with lots of chatter and ends with a lot of chatter. We tend never to get tired of talking, eating, and drinking.
Yes, we even dress up the wine for the day.
Of course some of us have to work the next day so we do keep the drinking to a minimum…and Liz had to drive, UGH!
Now that Mother’s Day 2013 is behind us, we need to remember how blessed we really are.
I mean, we have three generations of family to celebrate holidays with.
How we have multiplied from one generation of moms.
