It has been three weeks already since we returned from our visit to Paso Robles, California. Three weeks and still missing that pleasant California county and the wineries Paso Robles had to offer.
Our first winery experience was at Cass Winery. Cass Winery, located along Paso Robles beautiful back roads countryside.
What a beautiful experience Cass Winery ended up to be.
As we entered Cass Winery I could not help but get the feel of an old Italian country village.
A back yard filled with grape vines that seemed to greet us with open vines.
See John, Billy and Carol relaxing and enjoying the wine tasting.
I can still hear the clinking of our glasses? We always toasted with our first glass of wine. A toast to our health ( heard that drinking wine is healthy). LOL!
Now Cass Winery was a tad different than other wineries we had gone to. At Cass Winery’s food was also offered with their wines. I mean food that was specifically created to compliment the wines that Cass creates.
Carol was the first one to get her lunch. Both John and Carol were certainly impressed with all the goodies on the plate.
Carol ordered the Cheese and Meat Platter.
A ” Taste chef-selected artisinal cheeses and meats, each paired with a wine from the tasting list.”
A meal that’s “Paired with a wine from the tasting list!” How cool is that!!
The guys ordered the Pitt Roasted Pulled Tri-Tip Sandwich.

“Smothered in Jake’s BBQ sauce. Served on a ciabatta roll with melted mozzarella and dijon mustard. Accompanied by a salad of organic baby lettuces topped with nuts and dried fruit.
Guess who ate my husband’s nuts and dried fruit. That is correct, ME!
I feasted on the Samosa Trio.
A “Three delicate pastry crusts filled with a savory filling of curried potatoes and peas.
Served with roasted red pepper coulis and homemade hummus. Accompanied by a salad of organic baby lettuces topped with nuts and dried fruit.”
Dining and wining at CASS WINERY was a wine-derful experience.
I did opt to stay a little while longer.
Just to enjoy the breeze that flowed through the veranda and look at the grape vines that hugged all around us.
It is nice to be hugged by grape vines….so nice!

Cass Winery is a must stop return visit next time we visit Paso.
