Last night I went to the Water’s Edge Restaurant with Merci, Marlene and my sister Marianne. Even though, I have lived in Queens for over 30 years, I never came here to eat. The place is beautiful and there was a super nice piano player that came over and asked what we liked to hear. The four of us said “Beatles”. Perfect! What was I waiting for??
Merci , that smart girl, got a coupon from Living Social Deals and got a deal. Here is what we got.
We got 2 bottles of wine. A bottle of red. A bottle of white. This is the red one.
Two appetizers to share. we ordered the Ahi Tuna Nicoise and the Baby Bouguete Salad. Both were yummy and just enough. The best bread in the world too.
Four entrees. I got the Anchio Dusted Shrimp and everyone else ordered the Potato Crusted Floridian Snapper. Happy!
The deal we made among ourselves was a $50.00 limit per person treating the birthday girl. No more than $150.00 for the 4 of us out. I don’t know what the bill was or the amount of the coupon, being the birthday girl 🙂
Dessert was not included , but that did not stop this group. We ordered the Home Made Ice Cream Sandwich for two with 4 forks. It was huge. The sweet waiter told us we would not be sorry. He was right.
Oh, did I mention the view? Unbelievable hypnotizing view of New York City just across the water. It was raining and lightning, so we got a show along with the great piano music.
You are not seeing things. Yes, Merci is singing and dancing in the rain.
