Kids Will Be Kids With Plastic Bubble

I would like to ask a question, “Do kids really grow up?”  My answer to my question is, “NOT !”

Now I ask , “How do you get grown ups to act like children?”  My answer  to this question is, “just give them a toy that will bring out the hidden child.”

Why would I come to that conclusion?  Well, easy.  My son and daughter-in-law showed me their child side when I brought  my grand kids a plastic bubble kit.

I saw the plastic bubble kit when I was shopping, as soon as I saw the kit I knew that I would be bringing it home to my grand kids.  How much fun they are going to have trying to blow up the plastic bubble.  Memories came rushing back to me.  I remembered  how hard it was for me to blow into that stick, with the hole in the middle,  to get that bubble as big as I could possibly get it.  I was so excited about this bubble maker.  I could not wait to give it to the grand kids and watch their little mouths pucker up around the stick to get that bubble blown.  I pictured them trying to blow the biggest bubble they could. How much fun Sophie and Christian are going to have with plastic bubble…Fun! Fun! Fun!

Till!

Till, my son and daughter-in-law took over the bubble making stick.  They took it over and turned this simple item into their  bubble competition.image

Damian and his bubble!  Poor Christian, looking on with thumb in mouth.   Of course, he was proud that his daddy blow such a big bubble.  Christian had something to aspire too.

Then it was my daughter-in-law’s turn.image Wow!  I think her bubble was bigger than my son’s.  This was not going to sit well with Damian.  My son is very competitive you know.

We had some wine and we had some bubbles.   Yes, the grand kids never got a chance to blow a plastic bubble.   But mom and dad did.image

My son and his wife have been married now 10 years.  It does a heart good to see that they can still play together.
