Our friends Barry and Terry introduced us to The Crescent Beach Club, located in Bayville, Long Island. Well they really did not introduce us to this Beach Club, see it just so happened my husband and I went to dinner there for one of our anniversaries. I think that it was anniversary number 28. Who would have thought that we would go back to The Crescent, not to eat but to see a setting sun.
We got to see more than the restaurant we ate in. The view from the top of the Crescent bar was so perfect. The Long Island beach reminded me more of Florida then Long Island.
Barry and Terry, our dear friends. Barry and Terry are the ones who always get us to gather. They have a way of making the night at the Crescent a joyful one. Now Barry is a super friendly guy. Barry talks to all the patrons at the Crescent. Barry could run for mayor of the Crescent Beach Club. Barry talks to all the people like he is their long time friend.
I mean, here are a group of people Barry took a picture of.
I thought they knew Barry and Terry.
Then I find out, after we took the picture, that Barry just met them and he decided that we should take a picture with them. See what I mean.
After the sun has set we have a few drinks and plenty of laughs together.
The Long Island beach is calm in the background.
What we came to see at The Crescent Country Beach Club.
When the sun begins to set the sky becomes its canvas. The colors in the sky are created by the rays of the sun. Then within a split second the sun falls behind the other side of the world and disappears. As we all watch this happen, we know that the sun will return again tomorrow to repeat its display of power. The setting sun makes me realize how we are a tiny speck in the eye of the universe, yet we get to enjoy it’s brilliance. A brilliance that could not have happened without a perfect designer.
