I enjoyed sharing this book with my grandchildren because it took all of us on a “then and now” journey. Grandma, Aren’t you Glad the Worlds Finally in Color got us talking about how life was when I was a little girl growing up in the 60’s. We talked about how life was for my Mom their great grandmother growing up in Malta after the second World War. A picture is truly worth a million words.
Halfway through the book, my granddaughter Natalie turned and said to me, “Grandma, it’s a good thing you don’t have to wear gray clothes anymore, right?” My daughter Vera started laughing and we explained that the photos were in black and white, our clothing were not gray. The looks on their face was priceless!! This was a “aha” moment for all of us. This book will start you and your family remembering, sharing, talking and smiling. Even Jack wanted to look at the book!
