My son turned 38 years old this week. I am still trying to get over this. He will be 40 in two years. What’s that all about? Where does time go? I mean when did my little 2 year old boy become this man?
My son’s birthday was celebrated with a family dinner and a birthday cake.
My mother made his favorite meal, Fettuccine
His wife made a HUGE bowl of salad.
The little ones just hung around enjoying their time together. Especially with baby Emma.
They waited patiently for the food to be served.
So precious.
Even Christian was pretty quiet this evening. For some reason he decided to make sure Emma’s baby carriage is rolling and able to hold her baby doll.
Did you know that we now have Ringo Starr as a member of the family. Ever since he got a drum set for Christmas Ringo has become his drumming name.
The older my daughter and son got the closer they have become, which makes me happy.
OK, this picture does not depict their closeness but believe me they are.
I did tell them to smile. 🙂
Oh, my mother made these super delicious cookies.
Sophie liked them. I will be getting the recipe.
Now this birthday celebration was done on a work night. We all had to get up for work the next day, except for the teachers in the group. Something about winter break.
We ended the night with melting ice cream cake. Hate ice cream cake always melts but that is what my son wanted.
Yes, my son turned 38. Now this is time well spent.
