Goovinmoms recently went to see The Astolat Dollhouse Castle. When we got the invite to view this dollhouse we both wondered what could be so special about this dollhouse. How could it be considered the most valuable dollhouse in the world? I mean a dollhouse is a dollhouse…nothing special.
However, when we came face to face with The Astolat Dollhouse Castle we quickly realized why this dollhouse was not just your regular girls dollhouse. This dollhouse is the “MOST VALUABLE DOLLHOUSE IN WORLD!”
The Astolat Dollhouse Castle was designed and built by famed Colorado miniaturist Elaine Diehl with help from experts and miniature artisans from around the globe. It was modeled and named after the Castle in Tennyson’s Lady of the Shallot and took more than thirteen years to originally complete. Since that time it has been updated and thousands of new furnishings and fixtures have been added.
Every piece of furntiure is made to perfection.
Details, it’s all about the details. 
We loved looking through the dollhouse windows into the perfectly decorated rooms. The dollhouse just seemed so real.

The Astolat Dollhouse Castle will help raise funds for multiple children’s charities. The Astolat Dollhouse is worth 8.5 million dollars with 30,000 pieces of furniture, art, rugs, books and antiques. The dollhouse will display 10,000 pieces this holiday season at The Shops At Columbus Circle at Time Warner Center, November 12th – December 8th.
