Decorating a Christmas tree can be a tedious event but when the grand children come to help grandma it becomes a JOYOUS tradition. My husband Bill is the one who puts the tree together and it’s the grand kids who decorate the tree.
When the grand kids arrive they are always excited and follow my directions. However, this is short lived. It doesn’t take long before they wander away and start entertaining themselves with other things.
I tell you it is never easy decorating the tree with the two of them, especially Christian. My grandson would take out the ornaments and want to keep the ones he liked.
Christian would always try to make a deal with me. “Nana,” he said, ” I will give you all the tree ornaments that people gave me if you give me R2D2, Darth Vadar, Batman, and the Jets football ornament.” I just love the way he tries to make a deal, every year. Of course the answer is always, No! He is just to adorable. 
Then he finds Elf…and the main event is the Elf…Christmas is here!!!
Tree not exactly finished still have some more to do….but even a 3/4 finished tree shines thru!
