Well, here I am celebrating my 64th birthday, honestly I don’t know where it all went. I just know it went by pretty fast. I have been blessed with a loving family and friends and a wonderful job. Not complaining. Life is a celebration and that is why every year we get together and celebrate every birthday. This year we are at Agnanti in Astoria
We shared a Greek Salad, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, Feta cheese and olives aand Melitzanosalata roasted baby eggplant and garlic spread. Simple and delicious. Our sisters each got the special Bronzino fish (head and all) and lemon potatoes. They picked that fish down to the bones. Merci went for the Tigania sautéed strips of chicken and fried potatoes with lemon and spices and I had the Aegean Pasta Seafood sauce over pasta. I can’t believe I ate the whole thing.
The complimentary dessert Halvah Politiko warm sponge-cake made with semolina, butter and orange syrup never had a chance, we gobbled it all up
