Oh, What Fun #Florida #Vacation #DisneyWorld

Yesterday, I posted about a family reunion and how all the parties involved loved seeing each other.I mentioned that the kids  pulled out a family album and strolled backward in time as they reminisced.  Well, they weren’t the only ones who were reminiscing. As we paged through the album we, the adults, screamed with laughter as we saw ourselves going back at least 30 years.  The best photos were the ones from our Florida vacation. I couldn’t believe that my husband and Joe use to look like that (of course I haven’t changed )  🙂

Here they are waiting patiently on those long Disney lines (patience, now that is something that gets chipped away with age, I mean time.)

In this picture you would think my husband was a jogger… NOT!  How could he do any running with that monster of a video camera.  I can’t believe Bill carried that thing around taking videos in that hot August Florida sun.  What happened to that guy?

What joy!  I have no idea why my daughter, my son, and Christopher have such grouchy faces.  Maybe someone said the wrong thing, like maybe SMILE. I’m glad Dana (my niece) and Jeannine gave a happy look.

On our Florida trip we rented a flat that we all shared.  Two families under one roof.  We shared so much back then.  As you can see in the picture I use to smoke.  We all smoked back then.  I’m not sure what is going on in this picture but if I know my family they were trying to get me to look at the camera to take a picture.  I never did like taking pictures.  I still don’t!

Again, my children look really unhappy.  And I thought our Florida vacation was so much fun.  Maybe they were just tired.  Yes, that’s it, they were tired after a long ‘miserable’ day in Disneyland.  These kids never seem to appreciate anything but then who does when your that young.

What a crew.  What a trip.  See Disney World in summer was hot, muggy, and super crowded.  The only thing I remember from that trip was that our children would just keep saying- while we are happily going along in mouseville – “Let’s get back to the hotel to go in the pool.”  Just what we wanted to hear after putting up with the long lines in Disney and the awful heat in Florida.

Don’t get me wrong Disney World was fun and surely a once in a life time experience (emphasizes on once),  I’ve been there, done that, and never-ever doing it again!  Sorry, Mickey nothing personal.

Oh! I just remembered my husband didn’t carry around that 80’s video camera for nothing…somewhere in this house are tapes of our Disney World adventure.  Heaven only knows where the heck they are!
