Birthday On Broadway

My niece Sandra celebrated a birthday in October, and since becoming a nurse, her work hours change from week to week. We both love the city and wanted to do a matinee so when a Wednesday become free for her we booked Tina ~ The Tina Turner Musical. So excited because we both love Tina, she spans all the ages. But first we had to do lunch. Sandra loves ramen and she choose a place close to the theatre, Ichiran ~ Times Square. There was a line to get in but it moved quickly, also they only take credit cards and have a no tip policy. It was a first time experience for me but the food was delicious and we had a great time, laughing and slurping.

The Tina Turner Musical held no punches, right from the start with little Anna Mae Bullock in Nutbush, in Haywood County, Tennessee to The Europe Tour which I had been lucky enough to see in Malta, with my daughter in 1991. The music, the songs and the dancing, not skipping a beat or a beating she got from Ike. Smiles and tears through out the show. We loved it. Everyone in the theatre loved it. Tina, Tina Tina!!!!!

Happy Birthday to you Sandra! I love spending time with you and may each and every moment of your birthday year be filled with the same joy and happiness you bring to others.
