Missy Piggle-Wiggle and The Won’t Walk The Dog Cure By Ann M. Martin with Annie Parnell #Bookworm

There is magic everywhere we look. Just sit down, relax, pick up a book and read.  I love to have my grandchildren read to me now that they can read.   So excited about famed children’s author & mother Annie Parnell, the great-granddaughter of Betty MacDonald who is the creator of the original and iconic MrsPiggleWiggle book series, and who 60 years later has joined forces with legendary NY Times Best-Selling children’s author Ann M. Martin (The Baby-Sitter’s Club series) to create a modern-day take on the original series that has young Missy PiggleWigglestepping into her great-aunt MrsPiggleWiggle‘s enchanted shoes. The new book Missy PiggleWiggle and the Won’t Walk the Dog Cure, features Missy curing whiney-whiners and smarty-pantsiness, as well as other habits, while continuing to make a life for herself in Little Spring Valley. This is such an adorable fun book for the family.

Foto Friday

Cleaning out a closet is therapeutic and you never know what you will find. You might find old shoe boxes filled with photos of your grand children, reminding you how tiny  and precious they once were.  Oh, how we forget!

It’s always an eye opener when photos of the past are viewed in the present.  Photos are great!  They can hurl you back in time.  A time long forgotten.

The photos I found did just that, brought me back to a time when the grandchildren were young and the joy they brought was new to us all.  Photos that captured those rich special moments.

I always wondered how people of time past survived without capturing their loved ones image.

How did they remember those special moments?

How could they remember what their children/grand children looked like when young?

One thing I do know, with the digital age, photos have become obsolete.   I need to make a promise to myself,  that I will make the effort to have photos of family printed up so they can join the many photos that have been placed in shoe boxes.  Or even better, take the time to place them in a photo album…
