Beauty and Beast will be released in theaters on March 17th, 2017.

And this is why It was a beautiful treat to gather my grandchildren so we could design our very own Enchanted Rose Crown with the help of Seedling.

Seedling’s DIY kit comes with fabric rosebuds, flowers, ribbon, glitter glue, and more to help create the most charming  and enchanting crown.

My grandchildren worked diligently together, as if they were under a spell and the only way to break the spell would be to complete the enchanted rose crown.

Once the crown was completed the spell was broken.

The completion of the rose crown gave way to beautiful smiles.

Seedling Design Your Own Enchanted Rose Crown was easy to design.

The beauty of the crown was passed on to our little Emma, who is our little beauty, and is always our guest.

Who else is ready to rock some Spring Footwear. I am so loving the cheerful, bright colors of melon and pink and sunshine!! Here is the Soft Styles pair from Hush Puppies, so comfy and just the right wedge lift and I always liked a girlie strap shoe in the summer.

I always buy in two so the second pair I picked was a comfort,  easy to wear,  breezy slip-on, so loved this tangerine color!! Yep so happy I found the perfect shoes for Spring.

Look who is celebrating Birthday Number 87 – my Mom 87 years young surrounded by her family her granddaughters and her great grandchildren.

Everyone relaxing and enjoying each others’ company. In a family love is spelled T.I.M.E.

Astoria has the best Greek food in New York and so we always make my daughter and her husband who come from Long Island happy and order Greek. Today we ordered from Zenon Taverna. We ordered a couple of chicken souvlaki platters , grilled octopus, chicken pocket pitas, salad and chicken Francais  for a twist.

No birthday celebration is complete without a cake. We had a coffee cake and a Carvel Ice Cream cake to share and enjoy.

Birthdays are natures’ way of telling us to eat more cake!!

Praying it  takes a very  long time to grow young. Happy Birthday Ma xoxo

PULQUERIA UNION CANTINA – Long Islands East End

Union Cantina

Union Cantina is a modern rustic style Mexican restaurant nestled in what is known as Bowden Square in the heart of Southampton Village.  As newbies to Southampton, New York we were referred to dine at Union Cantina, a Mexican restaurant, and we like Mexican food.

Union Cantina menu offered a variety of Mexican dishes.  Now we usually order Fajitas or Burritos when we eat Mexican but as we were in Southampton we decided to go off script.

Let me tell you about Union Cantina ‘s salsa dip.  Not your ordinary salsa.   The Union Cantina’s salsa is made fresh on premise.  FRESH!  Not from a jar!  My eyes opened with sheer food delight when I scooped up the salsa with a tortilla chip – that was also made to order- and announced to my husband “this is the best salsa I have ever eaten”   I asked the waiter, “What kind of salsa is this, not from a jar!”  The waiter smiled and began to explain how the salsa is made on premise with the freshest ingredients.  To top the freshness Union Cantina even fries the green peppers to create the delicious salsa taste.  OMG!

All I wanted to eat was the mixture of guacamole and salsa dip which  I mixed together -pictured top of photo- but I knew that would so not be a good idea.

And I was glad for the dinner proved to be a culinary delight.

I decided to go with seafood and ordered the

PICANTE CAMARONES (SPICY SHRIMP)vera cruz chile sauce, picante queso, avocado crema, sweet corn & black bean salsa, pico de gallo.

My husband really came out of the box and ordered –

 POLLO TIRADA (PULLED CHICKEN)rojo chile sauce, queso blanco, asadero & mexican cheddar cheeses, pico de gallo and avocado.  

Union Cantina dining experience was much more than we expected.

Union Cantina’s “farm to table” cooking style is notably tasted, as they only use the freshest local ingredients that the east end has to offer.  As the taste of the salsa attested too!

Union Cantina has three bars and a  400 Rabbit Tequila Bar that features over 100 different tequilas to sample.  My kind of bar!

It was a happy meal at Union Cantina.  I had my pre-dinner margarita (BOGO) and my husband had his pre-dinner beer.  Everything at Pulqueria Union Cantina was ”MUY BIEN’
