Ugly Christmas Sweater Office Party #Uglysweater

Every year we have a Christmas Party with a theme and this year it was the Ugly Christmas Sweater. We start from the morning with breakfast. Nothing fancy some bagels and a light mimosa. We order lunch from Donato’s Restaurant.  This year we got  Eggplant Rollatini, Penne ala Vodka, Chicken Marsala a salad and Sicilian Pizza. Something for everyone.

Joey brought us in some yummy chicken wings and Maureen make two out of this world quiches. Is everybody happy!!

We get to socialize between answering the phone and we always find time to dance and have a little fun. We also do a Dirty Santa, where you can steal a gift from anyone  before you all in good fun.  Have to tell you we all have a sweet tooth so you know there had to be cake!

This year we voted secret ballot for the winner of the Ugliest Christmas Sweater and Bobby Pet our office manager took the prize!!

So happy we got to take a break from the Holiday hustle and bustle and get together for some lunch and catch up time. So very  happy we found the oh so cozy  A.G. Kitchen in NYC, because Latin  comfort food is always on our mind. We started with a pretty cocktail. Merci had The Upper Westie  which was made with a prickly pear spirit and I enjoyed the Mango Mayhem. They were as good as they look.  We found our happy place.

Did someone say made to order Guacamole? Say no more the answer is yes, yes, yes. We ordered the mild – so good, so fresh Merci ate it with a spoon, me well,  I scooped it up with those yummy chips.   We also shared a delicious Seafood Ceviche with shrimp lobster tomato and mango topped with avocado. Oh my!!

For lunch I ordered the NYCs’ Best Cubano with garlic parmesan cheese. Merci got the Kickin Chicken Sandwich with a salad. Wow Wow Wow. Have to be honest and tell you we each took half of it home because, well, we wanted to leave some room for dessert. So happy we did.

Our darling waiter suggested the Banana Mania with Banana and Ice Cream, and the Traditional Flan with mango. So glad we listen to him because these desserts were right on the money. Excellent like the cocktails  (which he also suggested) and the sandwiches.

The dessert we ate all up 🙂

It’s that magical time of year

 It’s the time of year when we all see something special in the people around us.   And it is so easy to see that special something when you visit Macy’s, on 34th Street.


No other time of year can spread joy so easily from one person to another. And the closer you get to Santa the sense of jolly is elf evident.  

Then it happens you have arrived!  Arrived right at the lap of Santa.   The Santa who will be bringing all those toys to the girls and boys.       

 As Christmas draws closer we need to have our inner child reborn, for without the child their would be no Christmas.   Yes, it’s magic!         I BELIEVE!
