Days are  getting busier and time passing by like lightening. This does not stop us from celebrating each and every birthday because as times  goes by we  have realized how important it is.   So between family, friends, home, work, health issues and  aging parents  we stop, get together to break some bread and toast each other.

We start out quiet but before we realize it we are all talking at the same time and getting louder and louder. Then suddenly we hear ourselves and laugh out loud. We apologized to the nice couple sitting next to us and the groovy young lady said to us “Don’t worry, I teach second grade”  Ha!! So after that there was no stopping us.

We started with a cold antipasto and tomato and mozzarella salad. The picks of the night were Chicken Francese and Parmigiana. Marlene went for the Sole Francese. I enjoyed a Shrimp Parm Hero. We love Cinellis La Terazza not only for the lovely staff there, also for the generous portions we get to take home.

Merci made a wish and then we shared this delicious and refreshing Tiramisu.

Merci is going through a struggle at work right now and we all encouraged her not to lose faith and give it some more time to phase itself out, knowing she has done the hard but right thing.  Sometimes we don’t need a push but instead a gentle pull to keep going. So grateful for the greatest gifts of life – friends and family. Happy Birthday!!
