My Shadow, uses Robert Louis Stevenson’s original lines from the poem “My Shadow”, which was originally published in his children’s classic, A Child’s Garden of Verses.  Spanish illustrator Sara Sanchez created soft and inviting drawings to imaginatively interpret this beloved literary favorite.

For children ages three to six, this is a wonderfully fun read aloud as well as a quiet bedtime story.  Parents and teachers will love exposing children to one of the classic authors in children’s literature.  My Shadow can gives children a understanding  of their own shadow.

Robert Louis Stevenson (author) was a nineteenth-century author, poet, and essayist.  He is best known for his now timeless books such as, Treasure Island, Kidnapped.  He passed away in 1894.

Little ones who are just discovering their shadows will find inspiration between the pages, while older, more experienced kids are sure to learn new ways to play with their shadow.

We enjoyed a afternoon of fun and music thanks to 20at20 program , which is a biannual event featuring $20 tickets to participating Off-Broadway shows 20 minutes prior to curtain from Feb. 22 – Mar. 13.

After the train ride we got something to eat and then went and got our tickets and found our seats

When we asked Sophie and Natalie what they would like to see they both replied “Beauty and The Beast”!!  a fabulous choice ladies 🙂 The show is playing at The Players Theatre at 115 MacDougal Street NYC. The children were invited on stage to make masks and join in the fun. This is a hands on interactive experience kids will love

What a wonderful program to get the family and see off Broadway shows without breaking the bank.  The cast of Beauty and the Beast got a standing ovation from the children and their family. Bravo!!

No matter what age, you can never be too over educated about having a positive attitude.

My grandchildren and I simply love reading  about the adventures of Kylie in a “Positive Thoughts,  Positive Life!” Even though it is in the form of a children’s book,  adults of all ages  can also learn from the message. Here is Natalie reading to her 86 year old great grandmother!!!

We  always have opportunities to re-learn positive habits and practices, which are ultimately pathways to a life of fulfillment and success,” Corner said. This book is a wonderful tool to encourage children to embrace and overcome the tests that life brings and learn from all the experiences. What a  great way to open  opportunities to talk about what is going on, what is bothering someone you love and finding paths to turn it around.
