The Art Of John Lennon 75th Anniversary #JohnLennon #AFANYC
Groovinmoms, along with Groovinmom Bobbi-Ann, was so happy to be invited to the AFA, in Soho, to view “The Art Of John Lennon”
It was an art exhibition that showed us a side of John Lennon we did not know too much about. We always knew he was talented but seeing his art work, close up and personal, seemed to open a door to John’s heart and soul.
We got to see his whimsical sketches of himself and Yoko. Some made us laugh some made us wonder but we loved every piece that was displayed.
Here is what is called the karuizawa Series
We could not help but show a little of our Beatlemania when we saw the hand written lyrics of John Lennon.
Everything on exhibition can be purchased.
If I could have I would have bought one of the framed lyrics.
This quote from John just made me remember how profound John Lennon was.
We remembered how devoted John was to his family the last years of his life.
We also remembered the day he was taken away so suddenly.
If you were or still are, as Liz and I are, John Lennon lovers head on down, if you can, to Soho and see the
The Art of John Lennon
But you have to hurry!
The exhibition will end this Sunday October 31st, 2015.
Remember, ” I am he as you are me as we are all together”
Yes, John was the Walrus!

Baked Macaroni and Cheese with Spinach Salad #GiadaDeLaurentiis #FoodNetwork
I was watching my grandchildren over the weekend and their Grandma Bea came over with the kids favorite dish!! Baked Macaroni & Cheese. Love when that happens 🙂 I asked her for the recipe and she told me she got the recipe from Food Network Giada De Laurentiis who I adore .Here is the recipe
1 pound pasta
2 cups grated Asiago cheese, plus 1/4 cup
2 (8-ounce) containers creme fraiche
1 cup grated Parmesan
1 1/2 tablespoons fresh chopped thyme leaves
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil over high heat. Add the pasta and cook until tender but still firm to the bite, stirring occasionally, about 8 to 10 minutes. Drain pasta reserving 1 cup of the pasta cooking liquid. In a large bowl combine the 2 cups Aiago cheese, creme fraiche, Parmesan, thyme, salt, pepper, cooked pasta, and pasta cooking liquid. Gently toss until all the ingredients are combined and the pasta is coated. Place the pasta in a buttered baking dish and sprinkle with the remaining 1/4 cup asiago cheese. Bake until golden on top, about 25 minutes. Let sit for at least 5 minutes and serve.
