Pack Lightly – Stay In Control
Getting away from it all for a while. Lucky you. Now don’t wait until the last minute to pack. You will throw too much into your suitcase. Instead, a few days before your trip, lay out everything you think you need on your bed, then pack your bag and leave it overnight. The next day, unpack everything and edit. A good rule of thumb: bring half of what you originallyplanned.
Just as you make a food shopping list during a busy week – make a list of each specific outfit you’ll wear (including accessories) for each event. Be sure you mix and match outfits, so choose outfits in the same color family for easy swapping. Pack more tops than bottoms and choose cotton or knit fabrics, which wrinkle less than silk and linen. Pack the outfit you will be changing into on arrival on top. Pack only one pair of walking shoes – ( it’ll be hard) – one dressy pair – (breath) and another like a beach sandal. Wear your bulkiest pair while you travel to save space.
Have fun and think of the hefty baggage fees you won’t be paying – have a safe trip!!!

I love a great-fitting, stylish pair of jeans that will take me from casual Friday right on through the weekend. But finding the right pair of jeans that fit a real woman’s figure is not an easy project. One Nation Under God
I went to a Catholic grammar school. I remember everyday before class began we would all stand up and say our prayers and right after the prayers we all placed our hand over our hearts and recited the Pledge of Allegiance. We stood by our desks and faced the American flag, and proudly shouted the words of the pledge. “I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
I had difficulty with some words, indivisible became invisible. I thought I was singing about something invisible.. But no matter the misunderstanding the one thing we all understood was this song was honoring America and we were Americans. We said the Pledge of Allegiance without failure every morning. The one thing we were taught was God and Country.
What happened to all that? What happened to God and Country? Why are they trying to get rid of God. Why?
Recently, NBC aired their rendition of the Pledge of Allegiance, during the US Open golf tournament, and Oops, NBC accidently cut out a part of the pledge. You know the part that says, “One nation under God”. Accidentally? Really?
In case you don’t know there are a small minority of people trying to eliminate “One nation under God”, from the pledge. So I beg the question, if we are no longer one nation under God, than we are one nation under WHAT?
Who are we under? Take God out of the equation and what have you left?
