About the Author: Tami Lehman-Wilzig, was inspired to create Soosie by the true story from the early days of Angel’s Bakery, currently the largest commercial bakery in Israel. Tami is an American-Israeli living in Kfar Saba, Israel, whose books have received awards and honorable mentions from the New York State Charlotte Award, the International Reading Association Teachers’ Choice Award, the Jewish Book Council’s Sydney Taylor Award, the San Francisco Green Book Festival, and the Anti-Defamation League. Her books have been translated into Hebrew, Spanish, and Russian.
Menahem Halberstadt’s quirky and diverse Jerusalem neighbors will delight readers young and old. He is a children’s book illustrator and editorial cartoonist, and has published dozens of picture books, most recently the well-received A Basket Full of Figs by Ori Elon. Menahem lives in Israel with his wife and sweet children.
