We all fall down

Let me introduce you to Mr. Christian…that is what I like to call him…I watched him yesterday at least I thought I was watching him…he is at the stage were he likes to keep on moving…literally moving…crawl, get up, sit down, grab, what ever he can reach or reach what ever he can grab…everything to him is an adventure…interesting to watch his little face…I cannot help wondering what his thoughts are…how his little eyes are digitally taking pictures and sending it to his brain…this is a simply world for him, yet a most dangerous one for me…

I run around moving furniture, gating areas, trying to keep him safe from harm…staying close by, taking what he grabs quickly away…boy, do I get a look from him when I play parent…then it happened…of course I was sitting right next to him…watching him play safely, I thought…smiling at my grandson, as he stood up, enjoying his little toys…then down he goes, face first, hitting his head…I forgot how my kids would just fall down….he begins to cry…me kissing his little head…afraid to look at his face and praying that when I look I don’t see blood…OK, no blood, wash with cold water, soothe him with  encouraging words…the words where for me…after all this he went to sleep…when he awoke, I noticed that he did not hit his head so bad…no, no, he hit his tiny little nose…bruised…but not hurting, I checked to make sure…OK, now I need to explain to his Mom and Dad…
