Margarita Time

I am so excited summer is heading our way.  I know, I know, it does not seem like it today, but it will be here like overnight.   I look forward to backyard BBQ’s and having friends over for some cool drinks.

I came across this recipe for a blueberry margarita.  I love blueberries.  This will be my summer drink, or at least to kick of the MDW (Memorial Day Weekend).

Ingredients

2 cup(s) ice
1 cup(s) frozen blueberries
1 cup(s) blueberry nectar
1/4 cup(s) seltzer
2 tablespoon(s) frozen limeade
1 tablespoon(s) lime juice
3 ounce(s) tequila, optional
1 lime wedge
Coarse salt

Combine ice, blueberries, blueberry nectar, seltzer, limeade, lime juice and tequila, if using, in a blender and blend until smooth. Rub rim of 2 glasses with lime wedge and dip in salt. Divide the margarita between the prepared glasses and serve.

Speaking for myself, I would omit the salt.  mb
