Christmas in Brooklyn #Dykerheights #Christmas #Shephards #Santa

Dyker Heights is an Italian American section in Brooklyn where, for over 25 years, homes have been decorated with grandeur for the Christmas holiday.   An area that lights up with Christmas decorations.  Now, I have never gone to Dyker Heights to see these homes for holiday cheer, because, I had no idea that Dyker Heights was in Brooklyn, let alone light up the night sky with Christmas lights.  What hole have I been living in?  However, it was my darling daughter who had the pleasure of feasting on the Dyker Heights Christmas display. Here are some pictures of Dyker Heights and the Christmas in Brooklyn!

“We three Kings of orient are, bearing gifts we traverse afar…”  It’s what comes to my mind when I look at this picture.   So life like, so Christmas!

“Star of wonder, star of night…”  A Christmas Tree that glistens with stars that are  bursting bright.

Santa doesn’t ride a sleigh, but then Santa can  ride whatever he wants.  He is Santa!  Ho! Ho! Ho!

“Shepards pray at the sight…”  Not sure if Jesus received baskets of veggies, but no one said he didn’t.

My daughter may be  too big to sit on Santa’s lap, but giving him coffee!  I’m sure that’s  not the way to get more Christmas presents.

Dyker Heights is the place to get yourself into the Christmas spirit.  And I thought Macy’s was.  Boy, was I ever wrong.   Dyker Heights is a Christmas Wonderland!  Now, If the Christmas spirit hasn’t taken you over, get to Dyker heights, and see them Dyker Lights .
