The Kookaburra’s Laugh by Kim Taylor #Bookworm

If you want to be trusted, be honest. The Kookaburra’s Laugh follows Kenny the Kookaburra as he tries to fool and steal his friends’  Kylie the Kookaburras’ food. Kylie trusts Kenny because that is  the way she is,  trusting. Then Kennys’ scheme backfires and he becomes the joke of the Australian bush and gets to learn a lesson he will not  soon forget. The message in this colorful, lovely book is that lies and deceit are not the path to happiness.  I never tire of reading this book to my grandchildren because it has a message for us all.  Big or small, a lie is a lie.
