Red Potatoes: Recipe from Family Favorites from an All-American Lebanese Family #Dinner #Recipe

Red potatoes are lower in calories, lower in carbs, and a better source of protein than your white potatoes.  The red potato is richer in anthocyanins as well as a good source of vitamin C.

Now, red potatoes happen to be one of my favorite sides.  So when I saw this recipe in Joyce Brown’s, Family Favorites it was on my list of to cook.

Yes, Family Favorites from an All-American Lebanese Family is now my family favorite.

Cutting and washing the red potatoes was quick.

When they were done the red potato turned a  golden brown.

This red potato recipe  from Family Favorites was the perfect side dish.

Can’t wait to try another Family Favorites recipe…vegetable will be next.

Tattoo Studio by Maybelline #Eyebrows #Tattoo #Makeup #Noneedtomicroblade

I think we all know what Microblading is.  Actually Microblading eyebrows is  no different than Tattooing eyebrows.  They are basically the same procedure.  Meriam Webster defines a tattoo as “an indelible mark or figure fixed upon the body by insertion of pigment under the skin or by production of scars.” So, according to Meriam Webster’s  definition microblading is tattooing.

I was seriously considering microblading my eyebrows but the out of pocket cost was an issue.  It did seem that I would be heading towards microblading my brows because my eyebrows were getting lighter, and thinner, by the day.  They seemed to be disappearing.  I was constantly filling them in with eyebrow pencil.   However, the problem would only be solved temporarily, like a few hours or so, and once you washed your face, poof!  All gone!

Then I saw the commercial for Maybelline’s  eyebrow enhancer “Tatto Studio

Tattoo Studio, a waterproof brow gel that would last up to 2 days!  Could this be the eyebrow gel that will solve my eyebrow problem?   So the hunt was on, and hunt I did.  But I wasn’t the only one who wanted this eyebrow gel.  Tattoo Studio is a hot product.  Wherever I went it was sold out.   I did not despair, just kept hunting until I managed to find one left, just hanging there waiting for me, thank heavens.  It was the last one.  Color soft brown.  Wasn’t sure if the soft brown color  would work for me but I was going to give it a shot.  I feared I would never find another one. It worked!  Tattoo Studio gave my eyebrows the definition.

Eyebrow au natural

Eyebrows with Maybelline  Tattoo Studio

I’m so happy.  No longer will my eyebrows look skimpy.

Oh, by the way.  It’s true.  When you wash your face your eyebrows still have their definition.  Good for the next day.  No longer will I have to go to the gym with undefined eyebrows. Tatto Studio by Maybelline your an eyebrow raiser.

Tortilla Chip Crusted Pork Chops #StopandShop #Dinnertime #Recipe

Here’s a Stop and Shop recipe I received and finally decided to prepare.  Don’t let the yogurt in the recipe deter you from making this dish because, whether you like yogurt or not, it’s the  tortilla chips that come out on top and giving the chops there flavorful taste.  Believe me!

This recipe is  1,2,3 easy.  You need:  1 and 1/2 cups of crushed tortilla chips, 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt (non-fat if you wish) , 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder and 4 pork chops.  Preheat oven to 375.  Lightly coat a baking dish with oil or cooking spray (Pam).  Spread crushed tortilla chips on plate.  Mix Greek yogurt, onion powder and garlic powder in a small bowl.  Spread yogurt mixture on to both sides of pork chops.

Press pork chop into the crushed chips, so both sides are somewhat coated.  Place pork chops into the baking dish, and bake 20-30 minutes or until internal temperature is 145°F.

Serve!

Note:  My husband  detests yogurt.  I made this dish with some trepidation.  He loved it.  Success!  No  clue that he had just eaten yogurt and gave it a Image result.   Perfect!

Party Face Play starring Hayley Mills

What a wonderful time we had with our sisters  at Party Face Play starring the ever adorable Hayley Mills!! Everyone is  invited to a party that’s full of surprises. Watch as careful plans are upended when a young woman’s mother (Hayley Mills)  brings her own food to her daughter’s party—and also the “right” person to be her daughter’s new best friend. They put on their “party faces” and hope for the best, but when facades crack, secrets spill. Tears sprinkle and laughter roars as their revelry leads to revelations.

We all related to the play and the characters because we recognized someone in each of them.  Some were ourselves or someone we knew in our life. Life is hard and does not go according to script and Party Face Play does a wonderful job of showing that we all are dealing with the same struggles and the joy of getting through. Despite the setbacks in life,  there is always room for a comeback.  We live, we laugh, we love and we learn.
