The NEW YORK CITY FAIR

SEPTEMBER 1 – 4 AT BELMONT PARK

NORTH AMERICAN MIDWAY ENTERTAINMENT TO OPERATE MIDWAY

Townsquare Live Events, in association with North American Midway Entertainment (NAME), will launch The New York City Fair (“The Fair”) on September 1 – 4 at Belmont Park in Elmont, NY. PIX11 is the official TV sponsor of the fair.

The New York City Fair is a four-day, family-friendly Labor Day weekend event featuring a full midway with more than 30 rides and amusements.  Completing the midway will be fun games and great “fair” food favorites including classics such as funnel cake, slushies, ice cream, and pizza. The Fair will also offer daily entertainment and stunts including the Fearless Flores Thrill Show (featured on America’s Got Talent), the Globe of Death and the Wheel of Death, and the Bear Hollow Wood Carvers.  In addition, former New York Knick John Starks will make an appearance on Saturday from 1-3PM, along with special appearances from Superman, Spiderman, Iron Man, Darth Vader, Storm Troopers, Princess Leia, and the Minions characters. North American Midway Entertainment (NAME), North America’s largest mobile amusement company, will operate the midway.

Located on the border of Queens County and Nassau County, Belmont Park is the legendary home of the Belmont Stakes Triple Crown Championship, as well as seasonal horse races. The site is easily accessible from the Cross Island Parkway, Southern State Parkway, Grand Central Parkway, and Long Island Expressway.

“We are thrilled to bring the excitement and family fun of the state fair to New York City and Nassau County this Labor Day weekend,” said Dhruv Prasad of Townsquare Live Events, the producer of the event.  “Belmont Park is an ideal location for this event, easily accessible by car, rail, and bus from Queens, Brooklyn, and Nassau Counties.  We can’t wait to welcome everyone this September as we build a brand new New York City tradition.”

Admission to the New York City Fair is $5. Advance unlimited ride passes are on sale now at thenewyorkcityfair.com.  Parking will be available on site for $10 per car.
