If you love sweet potatoes, and beans, you are going to just super love this soup.
It’s easy! It’s sweet! It’s healthy! Three great combinations all in this pot.
The recipe calls for one can white cannellini beans. I used two cans of beans, kidney beans and chick peas…these beans worked just as well as cannellini beans…I would say even better. Oh, don’t forget to puree portion of the soup, this will give you a thicker consistency.

My daughter knows how to treat her mamma. I so love my new Hickory colored suede/sheepskin Bearpaw slippers. They are a tight fit but she assured me that they will mold to my feet into a perfect fit. I’ve been enjoying the Twilight Zone marathon wearing these babies. Smiling.

My daughter called me and asked if I could stay with the kids for a few nights. No problem. I packed a bag and after work I hopped on the LIRR to her home. My daughter and her husband wanted to get away for a night so off they went to Atlantic City. These kids got so many toys for Christmas, I just got a kick that they wanted to play with boxes all day long.
New Years’ Eve the older children went with their parents to a neighborhood party leaving me and Caleb to ring in the New Year together. For the special event we shared a tiramisu just the two of us.
A tradition for New Years’ Day is celebrating the day with Merci and her family. My daughter and her husband Bill host this special day.

Nothing fills a home like children. The big kid is Andrew, Mercis’ nephew. I am including my niece Sandra and her guy Robby in the children section too. Love them all. I am ashamed that the only photo I got of Merci husband Bill is the back of his head. Sorry Billy.
